Brady is joining me again at Olentangy Hyatts Middle School for 8th grade. We have to wake up dark and early in order to leave at 6:45am. Some big events for 8th grade:
-Going to Washington, DC with the entire 8th grade class at the end of October
-Confirmation in May
-His voice changing more...especially when he yells at me...we have to laugh every time even though he is being a jerk!
-Have SeƱora Jackson as your Spanish teacher....all year!!!! :)
-Hopefully, he'll be an Eagle Scout before high school.
-Learning that he can't eat fried cheese sticks every night for dinner because of the issues with face complexion.
-and Lots and lots of deodorant!
Cole is in the 4th grade at Freedom Trail Elementary. He got one of the two teachers he really wanted. I remember Brady's 4th grade, it was the first year of REAL homework and academic responsibility. I just know that my confident kid will do just fine because of his strong ambition!
Alyssa's first day of Kindergarten! She'll graduate from high school in 2023.....that seems forever away! She is SO enjoying buying lunch, riding the bus and playing with her new friends (and old friends) at recess. The 2nd day of school, two girls were fighting over Alyssa......the famous "you were my friend first" was thrown out!" Alyssa said that she would "intoduce" her new friend to her old friend....but the new friend was interested in being "intoduced" to her old friend....this must be a girl thing because the boys have never come home with social drama...especially the second day of Kindergarten. I'm sure this is JUST the beginning of the girl drama....I look forward to it!
Since I'm never there to get the kids on the bus on the first day of school :( I can at least catch a quick picture of them getting off the bus.
Oh no......Brady's attitude has rubbed off on Cole...or is it that he is too cool now that he is an almost 10 year old 4th grader?
I feel like I didn't take that many pictures this summer. But I was able to take a few of the boys jumping off the diving board and Alyssa in her swimming lessons.
Some time in Myrtle Beach with the Jackson family.....another Jackson family...no relation though.
Can you see the rainbow? It was faint...but out there...really cool!
The kids entertained themselves with a few pair of stockings (I found them in my closet and thought they would make for some good laughs). We laughed so hard we almost peed our pants!
Asian-Piglet versions of Brady, Cole, Alyssa, Devon & Mckenna:
Our usual visit to Dick's Last Resort:
IF you can read Brady's hat...just know that thankfully, we had to explain it in a little more detail! :)
SO true:
....and even MORE perfect. When her hat was read to her, Alyssa stated....."how did they know I was a brat!" :)
My hat said, Should have stayed on birth control....good thing I didn't because then I wouldn't have my three monkeys. And Brian's said, Viagra is my best friend.....good thing it's really not!!! We didn't go into detail with the kids on our hats.
Another usual trip to go putt-putting:
This would have been a good picture IF Cole wasn't being such a baby. Alyssa kept hitting his ball out of the way!
Alyssa really didn't like the beach :(. Which was SO disappointing because I LOVE THE BEACH and could stay ALL day my with my feet in the sand and water reading a good book.
So, a lot of the time was at the pool....which Devon and Mckenna really helped keep Alyssa entertained! They even taught her a few not so unique teen poses.....5 going on 13 for sure!
OH PLEASE CATCH HER!!!!!!!!!
Funny how Alyssa is the only one that can't reach and she is the one without a raft.....help her in kids!
Typical!
Give your Mama a smile....much better!
Our last evening on the beach. It had just rained, so there was no one out there, which was perfect because I really don't like other people in the background.
Jumping some waves:
Why must they be so descriptive? And get pleasure from destroying some other kid's creation....I just don't get it!
Another typical response from Brady......
Teenagers are so moody, grouchy and so sweet when they want to be!
A very accurate, descriptive picture of the three of them!
