Camping again!

Brady camped this past weekend with older boy scouts. They camped in a heated cabin this time. It was really cold! I hung out with the boys on Saturday. About two hours into it, I was done....waaaaaayyyyy to cold!

Alyssa has really enjoyed all the decor this year......

....she even wants to smell and at times taste the ornaments!!

The boys haven't been real nice to each other...more naughty lately.

The kids had to take a break from the decorating with a fresh cold bottle of coke!

Brian was busy adjusting lights, anchoring Santa and hanging wreaths last weekend while it was warm. A few wreaths have fallen but he gets out there and fixes them right away. If the house isn't lit up, how will Santa find us?????

Brian, Cole, Brady & Mima making the annual gingerbread houses. This year the walls didn't turn out very good. They had to break out the glue gun....we warned the boys that this year they can't eat the ginger walls!

Peterloon Adventure Camp

Brady, Cole and I joined Brady's cubscout pack 844 on a three day camping trip in Loveland, Ohio. We were three of 5,000 boyscouts, leaders and parents (and siblings) in attendance. We set up camp late Friday night....yes, the boys and I were able to pitch a tent in the dark!! Sleeping in our hats, gloves and coat deep inside our sleeping bags kept us very cozy. Cole thought it had snowed Saturday morning because of the frost on the tents and the grass. It was sooo cold in the morning, until the sun came out and warmed us up. Throughout the day on Saturday the kids particiapted in a number of different activities to earn badges, etc. There was a concert and a huge firework display Saturday night. Sunday morning, there were religious services for just about every denomination, so we attended the Catholic service. The scouts did all the work throughout the weekend. They cooked, they served, they even washed the dishes! I was very impressed. The next campout will be in December...but in a HEATED cabin in course!!

Family Fall Fun!

Family pictures in the fall leaves! We're still working on a better family picture. It was really cold and windy that day. Alyssa wasn't feeling well and she was VERY cold! Brady's eyes are half closed and Brian and I cracking up about something....
