Let's catch up!

It's been quite a while since the last real Jaxn update! A lot has happened over the last few months. Summer is finally here and we will be doing plenty to keep busy over the summer! We hope everyone has a wonderful summer and we'll be sure to keep you updated on our summer events!

Ms. Alyssa

Alyssa is our daily entertainment. She is talking in sentences and says some really funny things. She is OBSESSED with Dora and with changing outfits about 5 times a day. Her hair is wild and we are trying to tame it with piggies, but we think Alyssa likes the wild side of her hair better. The boys can't get away with anything anymore, she is the reporter of everything that goes on. She is even potty training herself.

Angel's Baseball Season

Cole is playing baseball on the Angel's this season. He is getting better at hitting, catching and even TRYING to slide...he is still working on that skill!

Graduating class of 2019!

Cole has graduated from kindergarten!! Cole's teacher had this to say about Cole: "Cole came into kindergarten so shy and nervous. I had so much empathy for him becuase that was exactly how I used to be. Cole quickly adapted to our classroom and made tons of friends. He is one of the hardest working students I know and is always striving to do his best. Cole only asks questions when he truly needs help and is always the first to help others. I have enjoyed watching Cole grow into the person he is today. I have no doubt that he will continue to have the stength of spirit and integrity he has today."

Happy 10th birthday Brady!

Brady celebrated his 10th birthday on May 14th! We celebrated by hanging out at Uncle David's house and lunch at the 'house' table (in the kitchen) at Buca De Bepo.

March of Dimes WalkAmerica

We once again participated in the annual March of Dimes WalkAmerica in late April. Brady and Cole are getting old enough to really understand the meaning behind our walk. The walk is such a great family event with unfortunately TOO many families affected by infant immortality and prematurity. THANKS to MOM, LIZA, GEORGE,GRETA, CHRISTY & ANDREA for donating and supporting our annual walk in honor of our miracle Cole and our Angel Christopher!

Spring Scouting

Scouting has consumed our lives! We camped three times this spring and did so much during each camping trip. When we camp, we travel all over Ohio to participate in various activities the state has to offer. Some activities he has enjoyed has been repelling, making arrowheads, learning about the Locks of Ohio & how canals work (the boats in the canals are still pulled by donkeys) and having an encounter with an Army Drill Sergeant (my personal favorite)! Next school year will be the big transition from Cub scouts to Boy scouts and in a few years to a worthy Eagle Scout.

Archibald Strickler Jackson

Archibald Strickler is the newest member of the Jackson family. Archie is an English Bulldog and is currently 9 weeks old and about 11 pounds. We are adjusting to the 3am potty breaks, the smell of Resolve carpet cleaner, the biting, the chewing, the wrinkles and the innocent 'puppy' look on his face when he has done something wrong. Summertime is the perfect time for our family to get our newest member. Hopefully by the time school starts in mid August we will ALL be completely adjusted and trained!

Stay tuned for additional updates! It's been awhile!

In Memory Of Otis

Otis Tripotis Frito Lay Jackson
May 9, 1994 - May 22, 2007

Otis went to Doggy Heaven on Tuesday, May 22nd! He lived a happy and long 13 years! He tore his ACL in his back right knee in late February. His knee was getting better and he was getting around great! The last three months he wasn't tied up any longer, he played with the neighbor dogs, visited with the neighbor kids and even lost 10 pounds. He was the happiest and friendliest he had ever been! On Monday evening while he was out visiting with his friends, the left knee gave out. His right knee hadn't healed well enough to support his weight. The poor guy wasn't able to walk. He enjoyed a toast and bacon breakfast and later a McDonald's cheesburger and a small fry on his way to the vet. I really wished he would of savored the cheesburger, but I don't even think he chewed it! He was an old, stinky, lumpy, crusty dog in his last few months, but he was the Jackon's family dog. Otis will be missed by all of us! :(

Alyssa is in love!

Alyssa has fallen in love with Dominic! On her birthday they shared their first kiss! As their relationship progresses they continue to have many romantic moments!

Dominic is definitely Alyssa's Valentine this year!

Brady's Pinewood Derby

Brady's car did much better this year in the annual Boyscout's Pinewood Derby. His car raced in four heats, out of the four heats his car came in first three times and second once. We are very proud of him and his accomplishments he has made in the past two years in boyscouts. He really enjoys the activities the boyscouts have to offer.

Playing in the snow!

Alyssa is finally old enough to go outside and play with the big kids.
She was a little nervous at first, but it didn't take long for her to get in a sled and enjoy the excitement of the snow!
Otis was able to play too!!

Christmas Eve

Brian cutting the annual Christmas Eve ham at his parent's house.

Alyssa and Cole enjoying each other's company while we watch Christmas Story.
Still watching Christmas Story.....
Brady is looking rather handsome here!
Trying to get a good picture of the three of them is really difficult.
The boys sprinkled magic reindeer food outside before they went to bed for the night.
